"Keeping tradition alive."
Olivia is Connecticut's expert on evergreens. A few days before the Christmas break, she agrees to help Jack. He's a Christmas tree grower in Avon, and a mysterious illness puts his spruce trees in danger: they die and his family's 100-year-old business is jeopardized. While Olivia tries to figure out the root of the problem and extends her stay in the city, she and Jack spend more time and feelings begin to develop.
