From humble beginnings as a Grantham grocer's daughter, Margaret Thatcher fought her way through the murky world of politics. In doing so, she fought against the sexist prejudices of the Conservative Party elite, eventually becoming the UK's first female Prime Minister in 1979. This documentary is a portrait of a woman who single-handedly changed the international politics of the twentieth century.

To play into the biopic The Iron Lady (starring Meryl Streep), Byron cobbled together this documentary. A rather in-depth portrait of this idiosyncratic former Prime Minister, with only a handful of interviewees (including avowed fan Giles Brandreth) who offer vague praise ("there's plenty of evidence"; "if you look closely"), right up to Thatcher's ouster in 1991. One-sided, superficial, negligible.
