Dai Kome Soudou plot

August 1918. While their husbands are far out at sea to catch fish, the women in a coastal village are unable to feed their families because of high rice prices. As prices continue to rise, several village women decide that this can no longer be the case and start the infamous rice riots, which are spreading across the country.
