Just before Anne emigrates to her great love Sara in Montreal, her publisher rejects the manuscript she submitted for her first book. What does Anne actually have to say? And does she have anything to say at all? Anne is forced to look for what she wants in life, because not only the main character from her book seems to have strayed. Then she meets the non-binary Lou who has a different outlook on life. Slowly Anne stumbles on finding direction in her life. She rewrites her book and realizes she has to make choices.
