Inu-oh plot

Inu-Oh is born with unique physical features and the shocked adults cover every inch of his body with clothing items, including a mask for his face. One day he meets a boy named Tomona, a blind biwa player, and as Tomona plays a subtle song of confused fate, Inu-Oh discovers an incredible ability to dance. Inu-Oh and Tomona become business partners and inseparable friends, using their creative gifts to survive on the fringes of society, while song after song earns them fame and turns them into stars.

I have already seen better animated films from Japan, but I also found it difficult to really immerse myself in the film. The story seems to go in all directions, which made me experience it as messy.

It is a poetic story about two outcasts who find each other through music and dance. Perhaps a film full of symbolism and Japanese culture that I found difficult to grasp - from the fourteenth century to the present.

Visually beautifully designed at times. A film that is more intended for a niche audience or an audience that is more familiar with Japanese poetic cultures.
