To get straight to the point, Watts is rock solid here again. 
With her performance she knows how to convince the viewer in all kinds of areas: the physical aspect (constant walking) in combination with panic, despair, hectic and the many calls and telephone calls while jogging, framed in a beautiful forest full of autumn colours. Reading through the reviews, I have the impression that the title is apparently misleading because it is not so much about the course of events at the school, but what goes on in Watts' head during the drama at school. And the film certainly succeeded in that. The story itself is somewhat predictable and not really exciting, but that also has to do with the preference and interpretation of the director who clearly does not opt for action or exaggerated plot twists. 6.5/10

Disappointing film about a mother who is told while jogging that her son is at school during a shooting. A film that was undoubtedly easy to produce during corona (the vast majority is Naomi Watts alone in the woods). The hectic pace and tension are too forced. The story itself is also forced and often far-fetched.

Not bad this movie, don't quite understand the low ratings. Sort of the same trick as with Locke(Tom Hardy talking a whole movie alone in his car) and Phone Booth(Colin Farrell talking a whole movie alone in a phone booth), and then see if it works. Here too an isolated hero(in) who has to face an unexpected disaster scenario..... and I apparently like this spielerei. In terms of subject matter, it is also reminiscent of something like Van Sants Elephant (and perhaps that is why the disappointing reactions), but where with Elephant I was mainly annoyed by the indirect sensationalism, I could easily relate to the palpable desperation of Watts with this Lakewood character. Subcutaneous tension that you have to give emotionally a chance, if you just look rationally without imagination at a jogging woman... well, then it doesn't work indeed. And then I can forgive the makers that Amy / Watts makes the right choices under this immense pressure, thinking clearly: it often seems that people at the end of their rope get the best out of themselves.
