Lorna Doone plot
Lorna is a young noble girl who meets the farm boy John Ridd. The two immediately fall in love, but Lorna is kidnapped by the Doones, a group of bandits, who then take her to their village and raise her as one of their own. She is protected from the others by Sir Ensor Doone, the leader of the group, who has become very attached to her. However, after several years he becomes very ill and a rich man named Carver decides that he wants Lorna as his wife. Sir Ensor is powerless and can no longer protect her. But then John Ridd reappears, determined to free Lorna.
