Run for Your Life plot

In the 1960s, the New York Road Runners Club was just a small group of men who went running through the streets of the Bronx. At the hands of eccentric Jewish immigrant Fred Lebow, the club became the largest organization of its kind in the world. Lebow brought runners to Central Park where New York's first marathon was held in 1970. This documentary is a portrait of a man who created one of the world's most popular sporting events with imagination, determination and love for running.
