Watched today, just an entertaining (horror) movie, a family that has some quarrels breaks the rules by not signing up for a safari and tears into the wilderness, once there they are attacked by a rhinoceros and have to continue on foot through the desert, after that more problems await and not only the animals that cause them.

Nice entertaining film, takes a slightly different turn, it never really becomes a top film, but certainly not bad!

Animals were good and nice story, the only thing that bothered me a bit were the constant quarrels within the family and I would have liked to see more animals.

As for the ending, I did think it was a success!

A family gets stuck somewhere in the middle of the African savannah with little chance of survival. It's a good situation for a thriller. The heat is scorching, the predators are dangerous. Sounds okay. If it weren't for the fact that the protagonists have ended up in this predicament by making very stupid decisions. And if it weren't for the fact that the protagonists, now that they've ended up in this predicament, keep making very stupid decisions.

Credibility is a flexible concept in a genre film like this. I know that. I watch it with that attitude too. Sometimes, however, too much is asked of the flexibility. Just when I had managed to make peace with all the nonsense and had somewhat wriggled myself into a state of goodwill and managed to experience the survival problems of the family as an exciting struggle, all kinds of personal issues arose with the characters. To also include those problems in my almost overloaded capacity for taking, was too much to ask.

The locations are beautiful. In theory, that is. In reality, the landscapes in which the filming takes place look like beautifully decorated film sets. No idea how that happens, because the locations were not manufactured in a studio. They are real. The CGI is reasonable, although not distinctive. The animals look fine, but are often too short in the picture to be able to make a real assessment.

Endangered Species sounds exciting at first, but ultimately it hardly is.

Well, I found this one quite exciting, despite the poor reviews here!
