Mediocre thriller/drama, with -for me- not too strong acting Alicia Silverstone

(she screams and cries almost the whole movie) and a solid James Tupper, known from many TV series.

The forced rare "funny" moments are no added value and I've also seen "nicer" sharks.

Finally: two fatalities in a thriller is also on the thin side.

Conclusion: good to have seen! (rating: 13/20).

In an effort to come to terms with a recent miscarriage and cement their relationship, Jaelyn [Alicia Silverstone] and Kyle [James Tupper] stay at a paradise resort in Vietnam. They ignore the warnings for a tropical storm and before they know it they are adrift in the South China Sea, cabin and all. Roughly the first half hour is one long commercial for the Vietnamese tourism sector, the rest is a long, silly tease in which we have to wait a long time before the shark finally makes an appearance. Silverstone's hysterical acting actually makes you laugh, but this amateurish mess is in fact downright sad. But I sincerely hope that Silverstone and Tupper had a nice paid vacation in Vietnam.

Watched today, a couple vacationing in Vietnam in a kind of vacation cabin on the water, then the storm comes and almost destroys the entire beach cabin, they drift further and further into open water.
So far we have seen it before in movies such as the ''Open water'' movies.

Yet he gets better from That her partner died due to a shark attack and she has to continue alone, a very nice addition is that at one point she is helped by a Vietnamese in a round boat who also gets into trouble again. Also a good attack with the shark, quite exciting at times!
That makes the film slightly different and more fun than other shark films.

All in all, I did enjoy myself with a ''nice'' (surprising) addition towards the end!
And so the film was over with about 85 minutes, yes I thought it was quite enjoyable.
