Sakamichi no Apollon plot
Due to his father's work, the introverted Kaoru has to move. On his first day at his new school, he meets his classmates Sentaro, who is known as a fighter, and the charming Ritsuko, whom Kaoru falls in love with instantly. Ritsuko's father owns a record store. The space under the shop has been set up as a rehearsal space for a jazz band. Sentaro comes there almost daily to practice as a drummer. When Ritsuko discovers that Kaoru is a talented pianist, she takes him to the rehearsal room. She persuades him to play jazz instead of classical music.
