The Kissing Booth 3 (2021)

Unfortunately, The Kissing Booth 3 is an annoying conclusion to the trilogy. Yes, the characters are roughly the same. But Lee's whining is truly unbearable in this film. He's such an irritating white privileged guy. If he isn't whining about Elle, who is dealing with a logical struggle, then it's about a piece of wall being painted. A piece of wall in a vacation home that is even bigger than the villa Arjen Robben had built on the Hereweg. On top of that, Elle gets to act childish towards her new stepmother and constantly lets Noah down, who does just about everything perfectly.

Yeah, that’s how you make a third installment. A film that adds nothing to the first two. I had expected a bit more to happen in a different location, unfortunately...

Very weak. Part 2 was actually decent viewing material due to the atmosphere and the relationship between King and her soulmate, but that is pushed more into the background in this film. The film lacks any real purpose either; the entire central theme is simply a rehash of the previous installments. And her lover is still a sack of potatoes in terms of appearance—their entire relationship never comes alive at any point. Oh well, a few isolated moments are okay and King is simply fun again, but as a whole, this is a monstrosity and the weakest installment in the series. 1.5*.
