Justice is a downtrodden martial arts athlete. She has stopped fighting for a while, but when she takes part in an underground fight, she gets a taste for it again and wants to make a comeback. Reasonable film about an MMA fighter who unexpectedly makes a comeback in the ring after years. Not exactly the most original story and it is also presented in a rather clichéd way. The melodramatic scenes with the son don't really work. Yet this directorial debut by Halle Berry is not boring and despite her age, she also manages to convince in front of the camera as an MMA fighter. Furthermore, the final battle looks great.

Fairly strong directorial debut from Berry. The story is not very original, but it is well developed. The film is a great watch and is never boring. The structure is good and drama is alternated with a few tasty fights, the last of which is the most extensive and is also depicted well and realistically. The film manages to touch the viewer quite a bit, but lacks real sharpness. The ending is very American. The acting is very good. The chemistry between various protagonists is excellent. Nice drama. 3.5/4.0
