A California Christmas plot
Joseph is the son of a wealthy real estate trader who is in danger of losing everything because of his wild lifestyle. He gets one last chance and is sent to California to buy a ranch to make room for a new shed. He pretends to be a farmhand to convince the hardworking landlady to sell her land for Christmas, but things get complicated when he falls in love with her.

A reasonable and clichéd film with a predictable story. The chemistry between Lauren Swickard and Josh Swickard is abundant. In principle, not surprising, because they are married to each other outside the set. Lauren Swickard was also responsible for the screenplay. Yet this film lacks the Christmas atmosphere it needs, and I found the story too long-winded. Still, nice to watch once in a while. A sequel was completely unnecessary, but eventually appeared under the title A California Christmas: City Lights.
