The White Tiger plot
"Eat or get eaten up."
Balram is a young man of poor descent who dreams of being a successful entrepreneur. He becomes the driver of the wealthy Ashok and his wife Pinky Madam whom he serves as best he can, as dictated to him by society. But when he is betrayed, he realizes how far the upper caste will go to protect themselves. Balram, on the brink of losing everything, decides to revolt.

A fascinating film about ambitions and lost innocence in a rigid class society. I saw the twist coming in advance, but not the intensity of it because it doesn't really fit with the rest of the story. Excellent melodrama with a strong role by Adarsh Gourav.
It's a shame that Priyanka Chopra disappears from the film so early. 
Bollywood has made more impressive films about caste culture in India, such as Article 15 (2019).

Indian film about how someone from the lowest caste starts as a servant (driver) for a rich master and eventually succeeds in becoming successful himself. Filmt plainly shows the big difference between rich and poor in the Indies and how the poor are treated. You also get an idea of how the poor think and consider it a calling to serve their master as a servant and to forget themselves. I thought it was a very successful story. I was never bored for a minute in this 2-hour story. I do like an Indian production. Worth 4*.

The White Tiger has been on my watch list for a very long time, but for some reason I didn't get around to it. Finally watched it and what a pleasure of a film. A nice insight into the big differences between rich and poor and the arrogance once you have encountered it. I could sympathize with the main character and the narrative form at certain moments gave the film an extra touch.
Definitely worth watching.
