Multiple stories show how coincidences can lead to love. In 1960 in a neighborhood of peace and tranquility in Istanbul, Turks and Greeks live peacefully side by side: a church on one side, a mosque on the other. The handsome boy Niko first sees Sema at school. Her beauty charms Niko at first sight in the atmosphere of a song on the radio. That same song also plays in the present, when Defne and Kerem meet. Defne sings the song and Keren can't take his eyes off her anymore. It seems as if the world around them is no longer there.
