A film with Jan Decleir, I was looking forward to it.

It's a movie that misses the Christmas spirit in every direction.

A very slow-moving film, with a lot of drama and, above all, poorly portrayed.

The story is simple and undeveloped.

Both the screenwriter(s) and the director have done nothing wrong.

This is certainly not Jan Decleir's best acting performance, he looked like a tired actor.

Renée Soutendijk as a grandmother is very unbelievable.

This is another example that Flemish and Dutch in 1 film does not work

The only plus point, no Rotterdam or Amsterdam language use.

Gee, to be honest, I did enjoy this Flemish Christmas film. It is and remains a Christmas film and it is also on that that you have to judge it. Corny and kitschy are pretty much standard elements, just as it always ends well. This film will also be released as standard on the Flemish television channels in the coming years.

It's not all innovative, but it's entertaining. There is indeed a nice inside joke to Home alone. Thought Jan Decleir still did quite well as grandpa Santa Claus, not his very best role, but there is no other way. In terms of atmosphere it is ok, a bit too much even at times. All pretty well behaved and within the lines, because there was no really bad character. Maybe some humor could be incorporated into the story here and there, but I thought it was pretty good within the genre.

Okay, I can really name a few things that were below par. But at the same time we enjoyed it as a family and it was made very attractive. Decor, music and lighting were largely in order, which enhanced the experience. I round it up! *3.0
