Entertaining dramedy about an almost bankrupt zoo. The staff literally and figuratively have to wriggle through all sorts of bends to save the zoo from final destruction.

The film gets off to a slow start, but once it arrives at the zoo, a funny story develops with a dramatic accent here and there and a well-found, fitting conclusion. Not the best, but nice for once.

Quite a nice and entertaining film - maybe not a constant thigh talk, but situationally very funny that makes me laugh every now and then. And the story may be a bit simplistic, but on the other hand it is also hopeful. What exactly is wrong with the idea of not only thinking primarily about profit and money, but also about other things. After all, as the old saying goes - money doesn't buy happiness.

And well, a film with a polar bear in it always has an extra point for me. I always find it difficult to say whether the acting is very well with this kind of film, the Korean way of speaking and acting in just about every conceivable setting differs so much from what I understand that it just goes very quickly to a lost-in-translation . Still, the production values are obviously fine, the bear - and the other animals - look quite convincing most of the time, and the actors in suits reassuringly not.

Because yes, I was reminded of this movie by that news item about that Chinese zoo accused of running a fake bear. And especially their defense that a bear suit would be much too warm...
