A humble Jewish man named Herschel Greenbaum works in a pickle factory in Brooklyn. One day it falls into a barrel of brine and stays there, perfectly preserved. 100 years later, he comes back to life and resides with his great-great-grandson, Ben, in present-day Brooklyn.

I've just seen the movie. I think it's a touching film and the double role is well done. It is not a high-flying film, but a nice little comedy that looks unexpectedly smooth. I can recommend the movie. and give 4 stars.

Nice film about a Jewish man from 1919 who wakes up 100 years later due to circumstances. A not exactly original fish-out-of-water concept. It also goes a bit in all directions, but the film is entertaining. For example, the socially critical part is a bit easy, but it does provide a number of funny moments. Seth Rogen knows how to bring the double role fun.

An American Pickle is a funny film that is well done with its double role if it is up to Seth Rogen. The beginning of the film and the middle part in particular were extremely entertaining.
