If you watch this with just the wrong combination of sedatives in your bloodstream, you will end up in a bad trip you will never recover from.
Girl builds rocket, flies to the moon, and from there everything becomes a blur of colors, weird creatures, and uptempo songs that sound like a Moldovan entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.

The film starts like a sort of Disney, a musical with those typical characters. I vaguely got the impression that they drew inspiration from the opening of Beauty and the Beast. Visually, it is admittedly a whole lot less than what we are used to these days; it all looked a bit cheap and quickly made. But then the film takes a weird turn that I couldn't connect with. Hugely colorful, LSD-like, but I just thought it looked ugly. And the film flies off in all directions and fails to interest anywhere. 1.5*.

Four years after her mother [Ruthie Ann Miles] passed away, Fei Fei [Cathy Ang] cannot accept that her father [John Cho] wants to share his life with another woman [Sandra Oh]. Inspired by her mother's stories about a moon goddess [Phillipa Soo], Fei Fei travels to the moon hoping to find help there.
