In my opinion, Floor Adams hits the nail on the head. In any case, it is a subject that is very close to my heart. She clearly explains how he thinks and acts using a kind of puppet in Chris' brain. Everyone probably has a little figure like that in their head, but Chris's is different from others.

The fact is that Chris compensates a lot with his intelligence and with what he has learned how to act in that situation. Some situations appear to be unknown territory with hardly any tips (e.g. sexual intercourse), but dating also remains an unfathomable tangle despite the tips already stored. And one observation does not mean that you can simply copy it in another context.

It produces touching and even funny situations. The short film actually offers even more room for additional footage and a well-developed film. Nice to see something like that. It offers greater understanding from outsiders of how to look at autism. They are not all rain men and certainly not with a mental disability, on the contrary. Just like chameleons, they are also the perfect individuals who can disguise their being, even if they go out of line every now and then. Nice!

Nice short film about how it can go in someone's head with autism. I work with this target group myself. And one thing is CERTAIN. There is no such thing as the same autistic person. Everyone has a different way of thinking and working.

I can see a number of clients in this video who think and act in a similar way. But I can also see clients who don't think and act in this way at all.

Especially the long switching time is common in people with autism. If you ask a question and there is no immediate answer, just be patient and wait, do not ask a question again or start filling in something yourself to prevent a silence. That only creates more noise and chaos in the minds of people with autism. You can see that clearly in this film. The brain is working so hard, that takes time. So give these people time. And respect that sometimes you do not get an answer back. Then that is just the way it is.
