The Legion plot
Nero is the emperor of the Roman Empire. The invasion of Parthia has been a fiasco. Two Roman legions are trapped in the snowy mountains of Armenia and the men are slowly dying in the cold. The rest of the Roman army is in Syria, just two weeks away, but the mountains are teeming with Parthian patrols. Noreno, a half-Roman, is tasked with the mission of crossing the mountains and asking for help. He may not be the best option, he is an accomplished runner but he despises Rome.
