Stop Filming Us plot
Dutch filmmaker Joris Postema returns to the city of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he made a documentary for a Western NGO ten years earlier. At the time, it felt like the most dangerous place on Earth. And if he is to believe the western media, living in the DRC is still like living in hell. Postema follows three young Congolese photographers and filmmakers who all want to capture their own reality of the DRC and its inhabitants. Meanwhile, Postema himself is wrestling with the question of whether he – as a Western filmmaker – can paint a fair picture.
