A Girl from Mogadishu plot
"Be the voice. Not the victim."
Ifrah Ahmed is an international activist who fights against female genital mutilation. She was born when Somalia was a country at war. She fell victim to female genital mutilation, but managed to escape to Ireland. Her struggle against this horror makes her a symbolic activist. Ifrah stands up for asylum seekers and urges refugees to join forces to found the United Youth of Ireland, which stands up for the rights of immigrants. She becomes one of Amnesty International's key activists and is not afraid to convince all Irish politicians to vote for a law against female genital mutilation in the European Parliament from within the Irish Parliament.
