”I think it could be better.”

You can easily declare that closing remark of leading actress Gillian Jacobs about her book applicable to this film. This balances on a tightrope between drama and comedy without scoring in either genre.

Jacobs is a decent actress, very suitable for supporting roles that matter. But she's too light to carry a movie like this.

The idea itself was ok, but the execution has just become too nothing. And that's a shame, because the cast itself is fun and fresh - it just lacks something that lets the story flow. That something is happening, so to speak, instead of just the simple babbling of the unbearable emptiness of existence.

Quite pleasant viewing food, not really, but if after a week you wonder what it was all about - or even worse, whether or not you actually saw the film. Don't expect an answer, that's all I say.
