Cosmos plot
"Only they will hear. Only they will believe."
Three astronomers are crammed into a car loaded with scientific equipment to observe space. If one of them catches a strange signal, he sends back a radio signal in response. Shortly afterwards, he receives the same peculiar sound again. The sound seems to have an intelligent origin. The three are skeptical at first but gradually lose their disbelief.
