After 350 years, Rembrandt's paintings have lost none of their appeal. Collectors worldwide cherish the magic of the Dutch master's canvases. This documentary shows the passion of various Rembrandt enthusiasts and collectors. One of them, the French baron Éric de Rothschild, markets two Rembrandts. This is the beginning of a fierce political battle between the Rijksmuseum and the Louvre. The film also follows the aristocratic art dealer Jan Six when he seems to be on the trail of not one, but two 'new' paintings by Rembrandt.
