Western Stars plot
With 'Western Stars', Springsteen's first studio album in five years, the singer-songwriter is breaking new ground, while not forgetting his roots. The music deals with the themes of love and loss, loneliness, family and the unrelenting passing of time. The film evokes the image of the American West - both the mythical West and the harsh reality - and tells the story of 'Western Stars' through archive footage, music and Springsteen's personal reflections.
