A solid twist on a tried-and-true recipe, starring Bassett, Arquette, and Huffman as mother friends who are irritated that their sons aren't giving them the attention they'd hoped for on Mother's Day. They decide to put things in order, learn valuable lessons about their changing roles as mothers, and gain a new perspective on their long-standing friendship. Nothing new under the sun, but the enjoyable performances of the leads (who, judging by the credits, seem to have had a good time) make this passable viewing.
