On an unfortunate day 13,000 years ago, a malnourished teenage girl missed her support and tumbled to the bottom of a 30-meter-deep pit in a cave in Mexico's Yucatán. Rising seas flooded the cave, cutting it off from the outside world—until a team of divers spotted her nearly complete skeleton in 2007.
