Sea of Shadows plot
"The cartels, the black market and the fight to save a species."
The vaquita, also known as the California porpoise, is one of the smallest cetaceans. The species is nearly extinct, as their habitat is being destroyed by the Mexican cartels and the Chinese mafia, who harvest the swim bladder. Environmentalists, the Mexican Navy and undercover investigators join forces to fight against this illegal trade.
