Iem and Corrie Vroombout lost their 14-year-old daughter Brenda on 21 December 1992 in the Faro plane crash. The couple themselves barely survived the disaster. Since that black day, Iem and Corrie no longer dare to travel in a vehicle driven by another; no plane, bus, train or boat. In 'Dear' Mr. Schröder, for the first time in 23 years, they return with their own car to the crash site, the runway where their lives changed forever. A journey with a smile and a tear, in which Corrie and Iem confront their greatest fear.
