After the sudden death of her father, Tracy Edwards's life is derailed, leaving her at a dead end as a 15-year-old with no diploma and no skills. Thanks to a job as a cook on chartered yachts in Greece, she learns to sail and the dream of competing in the Whitbread Race Around The World is born. When she discovers that the male crew members look down on women, she sets her sights on a new dream: to compete in this grueling yacht race with an all-female crew.
