The two childhood friends Antonio and Agostino grew up together, in rural Sicily, desperate to escape life in their small village and discover the world. Now in their thirties, they both live abroad but haven't seen each other in years. When Antonio discovers one day that his childhood home, which has been empty for a long time, is about to be sold, he embarks on a journey to find his old friend and travel back to Sicily to reclaim it. However, with their relationship changed forever, old conflicts and new revelations threaten to bring a dramatic end to their road trip across Europe.
