A series of macabre murders take place in Wroclaw. Every day at 6 pm, an unknown serial killer commits a crime. Helena Rus suspects that they are the work of the same man. When Helena's police partner, Bronson, is seriously injured during the intervention, she decides to identify the killer at all costs.

Fairly bizarre film that starts violently with a very original murder. Afterwards, some bloody murders follow, which are certainly successful, but which will not surpass the first in terms of intent.
The pace is quite high and you get little insight into the characters of the characters, who are given little space to create a bond with the viewer through their past or private lives, for example. Very sober and cold. The biggest drawback is the acting and especially (consciously or unconsciously) portraying the overly cool, cold agent in a way that it becomes a caricature, which is sometimes even disturbing. 6/10

During my trip to Polish Netflix films, I wanted to watch a thriller for a change.
The first thing you'll notice is that this movie is recommended for vegans. Why exactly is a complete mystery to me, but the horses in the film at least have a few beautiful moments.
In a nutshell you could say that a Gothic version of Jodie Foster searches for a serial killer who kills a victim in a creative way every 24 hours. The story is not very special, but it is an excellent framework for a film that goes by at a fast pace and in any case is not boring.
The 18+ rating is somewhat exaggerated. The violence is done creatively and is comparable in style to the films of Dick Maas.
Furthermore, severe criticism is leveled at the Polish government and living conditions in Poland. What I especially like about the film is that the enthusiasm is palpable and that this film is yet another proof that Polish cinema has a lot of individuality and character.
Ideal film for Netflix viewers who want to try something different and need a more sympathetic version of, for example, Seven. Don't expect too much and you will have an entertaining film that could also have been made in the Netherlands in the 1980s.

Not that the Polish influx on Netflix is great, they are usually decent. A bit of a strange detective film with Kozuchowska in the leading role. Not your average cop. A bit strange and stiff here and there, but the plot is quite interesting as they try to track down a serial killer. There is also a modus operandi that is strongly reminiscent of Se7en, although it is only a decoction of it.
The pace is fast and the film doesn't last too long. People are certainly making too much of a fuss about it. The disadvantage, however, is that sometimes everything happens very quickly or fleetingly. Quite a few explicit images here and there. The acting is mediocre, but all in all a nice pick.
