Verliebt in Masuren plot

Kurt is a quirky, retired ship captain who becomes in need of help after a sailing accident, but doesn't rely on his distanced family for help. His difficult character causes three nurses to give up before the Polish Roza makes her appearance. Kurt, himself from the former Prussian Masuria, did not understand Poland. However, the courageous Roza does not let herself be known, and when fate calls Roza back to Poland, she dutifully just takes Kurt with her. There she discovers what has been on his stomach for a long time and she thinks it is time for a new start.
