Disappointing.

Watched because this was supposed to be a very bloody movie, but I thought it wasn't too bad. There is some filth in it, but nothing transgressive. All good within the lines banging with some slime explosions. Nekrotronic also belongs to the kind of film that does everything to be special.

But then forget about being special. The concept offers enough to stand out, but the execution of this film leaves much to be desired. Especially because the pace just doesn't want to cooperate, which makes this film just a bit boring. Too bad, because this is the ideal idea to climb well.

Visually colorful, but not very special. Roache-Turner plays a lot with colors and lights, but ultimately does not really manage to convey a wow feeling. It just looks too childish and simple, and the special effects also leave something to be desired. This film easily grabs animated images and should have shown more practical things.

Acting isn't too good. O'Toole may know what to do with his role, but crew members like Bellucci were just too bad for words. No character manages to be memorable afterwards. I can't remember a single name, and then you know you haven't looked at the most interesting characters.

Comedy is also a bit bland, but still keeps the film somewhat light. It is mainly the colorful look and finale that help things along, because the rest feels a bit boring despite the fact that a lot is done to not get boring. It's a nice concept and can go in a nice direction, but this movie sticks too much in a somewhat regular setting instead of doing really nice things.

Nekrotronic is quite a disappointment unfortunately, which also goes on too long in its playing time. Too bad, but hey, maybe Roache-Turner can pick himself up with his next project.

Quite nice ! Delicious nonsense with an eye for good-looking creatures and excellent CGI. The action scenes flash by combined with quite a bit of humour. In addition, the film has a witty critique of the games via smartphone. The story is little and the whole fantasy around the technological aspects is nonsensical. But that should not spoil the fun. Just pure entertainment with zero sense. 6.5/10

Nekrotronic is a colorful collection of clichés and stereotypical characters, but it is entertaining. About a game that robs souls. With a protagonist without any knowledge of the path he must take and an antagonist with delusions of grandeur. With demons and ghosts popping up everywhere and of course with generous hunters who have to rid the world of evil. The elements and the story are not very original.

Perhaps the only memorable thing about the film is Monica Bellucci's role as the antagonist. Her motives for seizing power are delightfully absurd. She is the classic false witch. Her cover is an internet company that can easily withstand comparison with companies such as Google or Facebook. That won't be a coincidence. I therefore think I detect a bit of criticism of the zeitgeist here when the large internet company secretly manifests itself as an opponent of free will. The increasing subjugation of modern man to devices that offer digital recreation, digital truth and digital friendship is of course also unprecedented and worrying and could use some criticism.

Nekrotronic is not a remarkable film. An entertaining one. The film is a colorful and wild spectacle with action, strange characters and funny dialogues. The story is predictable, but not boring. Nekrotronic is a film that is made to entertain and surprisingly injects some social criticism between the lines. An amusing mix of horror, action and science fiction. Just fun entertainment.
