"A frozen land, an ancient legend, death awaits."
The year is 1989 and the Soviet Union is about to collapse. A group of Estonian students trek through a mountain range in Siberia, near the Mongolian border. On the last day of the trek, the unpopular leader of the group disappears. Eero, one of the other hikers, takes charge of the group and joins them in search of help in the village of Buryate.
