Cam plot
Alice is a young girl who often sits in front of her webcam. She posts a lot of pictures of herself on her website. One day, however, she makes a strange discovery. She finds herself inexplicably replaced on her site by an exact replica of herself. To her astonishment, this replica knows a surprising amount of personal matters about her and does not respect privacy.

Quite surprised.
Not really expected, but the final result turned out to be quite positive. The average isn't that high here on MM, but I actually thought this was a pretty strong film. This is quite daring, especially for Netflix's standard.
Bold and strong acting performance from Brewer. The fact that she can perform this role so enthusiastically is worth a small compliment. But the rest isn't bad either and comes across as quite convincing. Especially that Tink puts off a nice character.
Perhaps there is not always much to experience in terms of horror, but the tone of the film is quite oppressive and coarse. In terms of filth and filth, you'd better catch another movie. Some scenes are particularly intense and therefore certainly stand out.
Very positively surprised in the end, perhaps 1 of the better Netflix productions out there. I certainly enjoyed this bizarre story that never got boring. Definitely a surprise.

Actually quite a good idea to watch more of the Netflix offer, because I already found several titles that in my opinion have a much too low rating, including this film.
Because the film is told very intensely and Madeline Brewer also plays her part very strongly!
The tension and mystery is nicely built up and the film takes the time to build up even with its not too long running time and does it very well, scene after scene you start to wonder more and more where this will go and the final denouement is also anything but predictable but probably not enough saturation for some viewers.
Because the plot doesn't go into some outrageous and supernatural statement but rather warns us of what the internet is going to be capable of now and certainly in the future, I admit, sometimes it's a little bit over the top but that this kind of things can actually happen has already been shown, although it is slightly less exaggerated (so far) than is shown in the film.
I'm glad that Cam is not going for the familiar roads and is daring to take a new path and use this digital age to make a creative film out of it.
Cam is certainly not for everyone, but if you like the film and the ideas that this film has appealed to you, you will have a very entertaining and exciting hour and a half.

Don't really understand the negative reviews here. Great film about a cam girl who is literally taken over by herself on her webcam site at a certain moment. What an intriguing thought that targets the media world. The story is well constructed and you get a good look at the life and world of the main character. In fact, it takes a while before she finds herself in a dilemma with the mystery that she is simply being copied. Fascinating to follow where all this will lead. Numerous characters pass by who can just be a suspect and each with his or her motive. Or is it something supernatural? Another strong asset is the convincing role of the lead actress Madeline Brewer as Alice. The final scene also says something about the environment of the webcam girls, where money does not only play a role. Also being seen, acceptance, having fun, having a high ranking are elements that certainly also play a role with some girls. 7/10
