Decent, but a film I'll have forgotten about by tomorrow. A run-of-the-mill film that manages to entertain sufficiently. 6/10

Pretty standard slasher movie, fun for once, but nothing more than that.

A visually compelling horror thriller that handles budgetary constraints reasonably well. However, director Padraig Reynolds could have kept his film a bit smaller, as the first 20 minutes are mainly devoted to character development and offer few compelling history lessons. Fortunately, Vanessa Grasse and Brendan Fletcher's performances are quite solid, and the concept works, but Reynolds still fails to really ratchet up the tension. The threat of the situation simply never comes through, and it could easily have been more brutal for a mature horror film, but thankfully, it's entertaining and engaging. The constant flashbacks of Grasse's character could have been much less frequent, as they undoubtedly hamper the flow of the first half.
