Snowbound plot

Neil Blair is sent to the Alps to investigate mysterious happenings in a remote ski lodge. Upon arrival, however, Blair discovers that his presence is not wanted. He is invited by one of the guests, a man named Gilbert Mayne, to go skiing. During the ski trip, Mayne attempts to kill Blair. Blair survives the attempt on his life and searches for answers.

Very "talky" thriller-drama with several mysterious characters who visit the same ski resort, but on closer inspection they all already know each other - except for main character Dennis Price, who is also quite mangled while trying to figure out what's going on. So more intrigue than action, but with a pretty strong cast, very acceptable location shots in the snow (including an impressively filmed night search with torches) and a nice climax. Snow and a claustrophobic room, then it can hardly go wrong for me; I went to watch this film because of the presence of Stanley Holloway, but I also had a great time with the film as a whole (otherwise without this film turning out to be a secret masterpiece).
