Saul Indian Horse is an Ojibwe (a nation of Native Americans), from the banks of the Winnipeg River. As a child, he was separated from his family by Canada's infamous residential school system, where he and other Indigenous students are regularly physically, sexually and emotionally abused. Teachers are doing their best to destroy the children's identities, in the name of the Christian god and the Canadian state. Then Saul discovers ice hockey. Only through his passion for the game and his rapidly improving skills can he see a way beyond the horrors that limit him.

A biography in a fairly documentary style, but without talking heads. Perhaps that could have added something, not that much remains underexposed, but without it is in this case a bit dry.
Nevertheless, the subject is very impressive. These kinds of films should be made and shown more often, especially with the current aversion to anything that smells normal, civilized and social (or woke).
