A Place in Hell plot
It's Halloween. Nicole Hart and some other film students are shooting a horror movie for a school assignment. They do this on a farm in rural New Jersey. Meanwhile, Detective John McInnis struggles with his failure to catch a notorious serial killer five years ago. When the film students are brutally slaughtered one by one, McInnis turns out to be their only hope. Will he succeed this time?

It takes about 50 minutes before anything happens in this soulless combination of slasher and police film. Director David Boorboor makes the strange decision to regularly interrupt both starting points to alternate them, interruptions that are rather awkwardly timed due to the difference in tone between the two tracks. However, it doesn't make much difference to the end result, because there was little going on anyway and the final horror elements are half-baked. Boorboor focuses on a number of uninhibited ideas that somewhat wake the viewer from his or her sleep, otherwise it is mainly an extremely slow, boring and atmosphereless result that is not convincing anywhere.
