"When suffering has no explanation, what fills the void?"

The Pain of Others is a found footage documentary about Morgellons, a mysterious disease whose patients say they have parasites under their skin, long-colored fibers emerging from lesions, and a host of other bizarre symptoms befitting a horror movie. Many say they have it, but the mainstream medical community says Morgellons is not a disease at all, but a delusion propagated and amplified by social media. We see videos shared by a group of 'Morgies' proving they're not crazy on YouTube. These women document what is wrong with their bodies. They share their fear, anger and confusion.
