Fang Hua plot
China in the 1970s. The country is full of turmoil and change. We follow the joys and tribulations of a group of soldiers of the People's Liberation Army whose mission is to promote culture, revolutionary values, music and dance. Central to the story is He Xiaoping (Miao Miao), a talented dancer from Beijing with a painful family history. Because of her innocence and social standing, Xiaoping quickly becomes the scapegoat and laughing stock among her peers. However, as time passes and the group gradually disintegrates, her life takes unexpected turns and she becomes a true heroine.
