Magloire goes to smoke a cigarette at night in a train station. He fled during a police check. He has no baggage and no future. He falls over a dying man and gets a pack of money from him. Soon the problems begin. He is hot on his heels by a gang who will make him first a hostage and then an accomplice. It's Kurtz's gang. After an aborted break-in, they all have to flee aboard a freighter with a dangerous cargo. Everything goes wrong and poison and madness infect everyone. Kurtz's men appear to be the pawns of a conspiracy led by the mysterious "9 Fingers"...
