Enishi: The Bride of Izumo plot
Maki works in Tokyo as an editor for a wedding magazine. Since the divorce of her parents, whom Maki did not know, she was raised by her grandmother Akie. A month before Maki is going to marry her fiancé Kazunori, Akie suddenly dies. Among the things her grandmother leaves behind, Maki finds a beautiful bridal kimono and a pile of incomplete marriage certificates. Only the name Soichi Akiguni is filled in. Is that her father? Maki decides to postpone her wedding for a while and return to Izumo, her grandmother's hometown, to look for family ties. She gets the help of the local mussel fisherman Mitsuru.
