Lord of Shanghai plot

Shanghai 1905. Huang, leader of the resistance against the Qing dynasty, barely escapes arrest by garrison commander Song on his arrival in Shanghai. He can escape with the help of Chang, the leader of the Hong Triad. At Madame Xin's brothel, Chang witnesses an argument between the humble maid Cassia and Song, who just bought her. Amused by Cassia's fierce defense, Chang rescues her from Song and installs her as his special mistress in the brothel. That puts bad blood in Song again. A meeting between Song and Chang is inevitable.
