A number of film reels are found in a remote house. The footage shows a horrific story set in the 1970s. A newlywed couple faces terrifying events. It seems that their bodies are slowly being taken over by a ghost or demon. The couple then disappeared without a trace.

Mexican Blair Witch.
Not a brilliant, but sometimes exciting addition to the found footage genre, this time from the Mexican side. I can see something in it, different countries that contribute to this subgenre. This way you can also spot cultural differences right away. However, this film was very similar to an American horror film.
In any case, the acting is again quite poor and the characters fail to play good appearances. Now it is not made easy for them, because the space is not there for it. By means of screaming, crying and sometimes making some conversation, the actors have to do their bit here, but it is difficult to get striking acting performances in this way.
This movie doesn't take too long to jump from build-up to full-blooded horror. In principle, the first strange events also suddenly appear, so that the film has no difficulty in attracting your attention. However, holding on is another matter, because the film has quite a few moments in between, which do not help the flow of the film.
Towards the second half there are some tense moments in between and the finale is also nicely done, but the very last scene is such an unnecessary contribution that blows the rest of the film a bit. Nicely portrayed, but poorly chosen. The second half and some nice scares are unfortunately not enough to keep the film going.
For a not too expensive horror film, it has a remarkable amount of tension, but that is mainly due to the build-up to scare moments, because you know that they will probably startle you. I miss some creepy stuff, and better acting. A better flow would also have done wonders for the film. Nice for now, but not exactly high.
