In 15th century England, a young man named Lord Harkran is beheaded by a masked executioner in a flower garden. At his funeral on a beach, Norman, the one-armed Duke of Norwich, offers his half-hearted condolences to Lord Harkran's sister Lady Jane and Lady Agatha, who reject it, claiming that he killed Lord Harkran. Some time later, it is revealed that Norman murders all successors to the throne of England so that he can become king himself...
